Lucknow, Nov 1 (UNI) Senior Congress leader from Rajasthan and former Union Minister Sachin Pilot launched a scathing attack on former CAG Vinod Rai and BJP leaders on Monday, saying the 1,500-page high court's decision has put an end to the fake story of 2G spectrum and coal scams.

"Today on Lucknow tour @INCUttarPradesh headquarters," Pilot tweeted after he addressed the media over former CAG chief following Vinod Rai's apology tendered in an affidavit to a court "for the false claims made by him to defame the then UPA government".



"The biggest thing that happened in this case is that former CAG Vinod Rai, who made the allegation, in his affidavit to the court, has himself admitted that factual mistakes have taken place," Pilot told the media here terming the entire thing a "lie" that was circulated by the BJP.



He said that to defame and destabilize the Manmohan Singh government, Rai prepared a concoction, on which the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party created a lot of hue and cry and tried to defame the UPA government.

"But today it has become clear that the Manmohan Singh government is completely clean and it has proved to be an honest government," Pilot said.

"The court gave a clear decision and said that an attempt was made to defame the Manmohan Singh government by lying about the 2G spectrum and coal report. Those who made a ruckus on the fake scam of 2G spectrum and coal are silent in the government today," he said.



Pilot also spoke on rising inflation and unemployment in the country.







Responding to questions, Pilot said Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is struggling for the respect and justice of farmers, the unemployed and women of Uttar Pradesh.



"Instead of resolving peoples problem, the government is cheating them with their divisive politics," he said.

Pilot said Priyanka Gandhi raised her voice against injustice, is fighting against the harassment of farmers, and women and have stood as a shield for the honour of daughters, in order to change public's faith.

Targeting the BJP in the poll-bound state, he said the Narendra Modi government has done the work of breaking the trust of the people by getting the mandate with the help of lies, deceit, treachery and is doing the work of looting the public to benefit its capitalist friends rather than helping out farmers, unemployed youth and women.
