Realtor carrying Rs 5 lakh bounty held in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: A realtor carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head was arrested from Gomtinagar locality in Lucknow on Monday.
Shweta Srivastava, Gomtinagar assistant commissioner of police, confirmed the arrest of Asif Naseem.
"Asif and his brother Naseem owned a real estate company that had 284 FIRs registered against it across the districts of Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Varanasi," she said.
All the 284 cases are currently under the probe of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Uttar Pradesh police while the Enforcement Directorate is also investigating the case against the owners of the real estate company.
It had lodged a case under the PMLA act, 2002, on January 28, this year.
Last month, the state government had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh on information leading to the arrest of wanted accused — Rashid Naseem and Asif Naseem.
Rs 1 lakh cash reward each was announced against the absconding accused — Ashish Kanojiya, Nitin Jaiswal, Jasim Khan, Abhishek Yadav and Mohammed Shahid. All these five are aides of Rashid and Asif.
