    Haryana bans fire crackers in 14 districts, restricts use in others

    Synopsis

    In other districts, where air quality is moderate or better, Haryana has restricted the use of fire crackers to 8 pm to 10 PM for Diwali and other festivals; for Chatt, the timing is 6 am to 8 am; while during Christmas and New Year Eve the timing is 11.55 PM to 12.30 AM.

    The govt, in a notification, further added that the ban will also apply to other districts where the average ambient air quality during November falls to poor or above category.
    Haryana has imposed a ban on sale and use of all kinds of fire crackers in 14 districts near the national capital of Delhi.

    The districts where the ban has been imposed include Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Jind, Karnal, Mahendragarh, Nuh, Palwal, Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak and Sonipat.

    The govt, in a notification, further added that the ban will also apply to other districts where the average ambient air quality during November falls to poor or above category.

    In other districts, where air quality is moderate or better, Haryana has restricted the use of fire crackers to 8 pm to 10 pm for Diwali and other festivals; for Chatt, fire crackers are allowed from 6 am to 8 am; during Christmas and New Year Eve, people can burst fire crackers between 11.55 pm to 12.30 am.
