Shirley Ballas requires urgent scans on all of her organs after doctors flagged their concern about her high hormone levels.
Doctors were initially searching for suspected lump in the 61-year-old's armpit, something she detailed on her Instagram platform, but one found her testosterone levels to be 'the highest she’s seen in a female.'
The head Strictly Come Dancing judge admitted that her health woes can send her down a 'dark route' but she is trying to take one day at a time.

Explaining how she doesn't have enough information yet, the ballroom dancer told The Sun on Sunday: 'She [the doctor] won’t speculate on what the cause is. She just says, "We need to deal with this. Let’s deal with the hormones and then see what else is there."'
The optimistic star reassured that she would be able to let everyone know what is going on once the scans - taking place at King's College Hospital, London - are complete.
Earlier on this month, Shirley expressed her gratitude to Strictly fans who reached out with their concerns after they spotted a lump under her arm when she was judging on the BBC show.

In other candid moments during the interview, the Queen Of Latin detailed how, despite keeping busy, there are moments where she struggles with the difficult days.
'I do feel a little bit dark and lonely, and I do tend to worry,' she admitted.

The support from worried fans could not come at a more poignant time for the ballroom star, who said there are some days where 'she just wants to go back to bed.'
This is not the first instance where Shirley has suffered a cancer scare. She had a colonoscopy years prior, when cancerous cells were found in her bowel.
In 2018, she was sent for an ultrasound and mammogram following a breast cancer scare. And most recently, she got a growth on her shoulder checked out - which wasn't benign, but requires a removal.
Three years ago, her mother Audrey was diagnosed with colon cancer and will soon be moving in with Shirley at her London home.
Despite the tough cards she has been dealt, Shirley said she is trying 'to make light' of her health situation and noted how 'wonderful it is to be cared about by the public.'
