Domestic fuel prices have been hiked for the fifth consecutive day across India. As per details listed on Indian Oil Corp's official website, petrol became costlier by up to 36 paise a litre, while diesel soared by up to 38 paise a litre. In the national capital Delhi, petrol and diesel prices are being retailed at new all-time highs after a hike of 35 paise each. Petrol has breached the ₹ 109-mark, currently retailing at ₹ 109.34 a litre while diesel has touched ₹ 98.07 a litre.

The fuel rates vary from state to state in the country due to the value-added tax or VAT.
Here are the petrol and diesel prices across six major metros on October 31, 2021:

In Mumbai, petrol surpassed ₹ 115-mark after a hike of 34 paise, currently priced at ₹ 115.15 a litre. Diesel, on the other hand, is being retailed at ₹ 106.23 a litre. Customers in Chennai will have to shell out ₹ 106.04 a litre and ₹ 102.25 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively. Petrol and diesel prices in Kolkata jumped to ₹ 109.79 a litre and ₹ 101.19 a litre, respectively. In Bengaluru, petrol is currently priced at ₹ 113.15 a litre while diesel costs ₹ 104.09 a litre. Fuel rates have been priced at ₹ 113.72 a litre and ₹ 106.98 a litre in Hyderabad.
Petrol and diesel prices in Maharashtra's Thane have reached a new high of ₹ 115.29 a litre and ₹ 106.37 a litre. Customers in the Navi Mumbai region will have to pay ₹ 115.22 a litre for petrol and 106.30 a litre for diesel. Fuel prices in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra have reached ₹ 118.09 per litre and ₹ 107.42 per litre, respectively.

Petrol and diesel prices are currently at record highs across the country.

Fuel rates remain the most expensive in the Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, where petrol is priced at ₹ 121.62 a litre for petrol and ₹ 112.52 a litre for diesel. In Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district, petrol has touched ₹ 120.89 a litre while diesel costs ₹ 110.11 a litre. In Bhopal, petrol and diesel soared to ₹ 118.07 a litre and ₹ 107.50 a litre, respectively.
