Telangana reports 121 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 121 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Sunday. The number of active cases in the state stood at 4,009. The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year, stand at 6,71,463 and the death toll stands at 3,956.
A total of 183 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,63,498. The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate stood at 98.81 percent now. So far 79.9 percent of overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have been symptomatic.
On Sunday, 25,021 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing 2.75 crore samples and has reached 7.40 lakh sample testing per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 55 cases on Sunday, while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 6 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 10 and Sanga Reddy recorded 4 cases. Outside of Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Khammam with 5 new cases each recorded the highest number of cases.
