Aaron Rodgers is John Wick for Halloween.
Rodgers had previously said he was growing out his hair for a Halloween costume, but hadn’t revealed what that was. Now, he’s posted a series of photos on Instagram of him dressed as the assassin, played by Keanu Reaves.
The shoot includes Rodgers posing with the movie poster, and with a dog set to resemble one from the film. When teasing the costume last month on the “Pat McAfee Show,” he said it was “somebody who is a hero of mine, who has long-ish hair.”
Rodgers had previously made waves by going as a Napoleon Dynamite character as part of a joint costume with Danica Patrick. This edition doesn’t feature fiance Shailene Woodley, though Rodgers did tag offensive lineman David Bakhtiari as the dog in the Instagram post.
It’s unclear whether Bakhtiari will ultimately dress as Rodgers’ sidekick or if the tag was merely a joke.
Rodgers does have a chance to celebrate Halloween this year. While most of the NFL is playing on Sunday, the Packers beat the Cardinals on Thursday night, thanks to an end zone interception of Kyler Murray that snuffed a potential game-winning drive. With his team at 7-1, Rodgers has earned the chance to let loose a little.
The Packers play again next Sunday at Kansas City.
