Weekend lockdown in Jharkhand, Chhath Puja to celebrated with restrictions similar to previous year

Ranchi, Oct 29 (UNI) The state government has decided to do away with weekend lockdown in Jharkhand which means now on Sundays all shops and business establishments will be opened.
A decisions in this regard was taken in the Jharkhand State Disaster Management Authority
meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister.
Among other key decisions it was decided that gathering of more than 500 persons in outdoor
at one place will be prohibited. Gathering of more than 500 persons indoors or 50 peecent of the
hall capacity, whichever is less, shall be prohibited.
In case of gathering of more than 500 persons, the permission of the concerned Deputy Commissioner or the officials nominated by him will be mandatory.
Fair/Procession and Exhibition will be prohibited. Shops will be allowed to open on Sunday
like normal days.
Shops, cinemas, clubs etc can remain open till normal period. Coaching will be allowed for
students of class 7-10 and above.
Anganwadi centers will open, but full vaccination of the concerned Anganwadi Sevika and
Sahaika will be mandatory.
The government has also given permission to open swimming pool for players.
On the lines of last year, permission has been given for Chhath Puja at a public place, in
which compliance with the Covid guidelines and the conditions of last year will be mandatory.
Permission was given to organize Kali Puja, Chitragupta Puja on the lines of Durga Puja.
Spectators of 50 percent of the stadium's capacity were allowed for sports activities.
However Food and drink will not be allowed for spectators in the stadium.
It will be mandatory to always wear a mask in all public places. In case of violation of the
order, action will be taken under relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act.

present in the meeting.
