Dan Levy Reveals How Dad Eugene Levy Upstaged Him at Sarah Levy's Wedding

Dan Levy is opening up about his sister Sarah Levy‘s recent wedding, and revealed how his parents totally upstaged him after his wedding speech.

During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, Dan revealed that he was set to give a wedding speech during the reception and “I thought ‘okay, well, hopefully that will come quite easily.’ And I thought it did. My speech was in the middle of the night.”

“My sister and brother-in-law did their speeches at the beginning of the night and absolutely crushed. Like could not have done better. And then I thought, ‘well, should I have just led?’ Because I don’t know if this is going to be any good.” he added, starting to worry about his delivery.

He continued, “So I gave my speech. Went fine. It was fine.”

But he wasn’t prepared for what came next: his parents, Eugene Levy and Deborah Divine, performing a surprise duet!

“Suddenly, my speech was just absolute s***,” he said, sharing that the longtime couple sang Emmy Lou Harris‘s song “Love and Happiness.”

Dan added, “It was a complete surprise, and it just brought the house down. My mom, who’s very, sort of, doesn’t like the spotlight, absolutely nailed it. It was so nice.”

Sarah and Graham Outerbridge got married earlier this month.
