Run for Unity organised in Kakching Khunou

Kakching, October 28 2021: Intending BJP candidate of Sugnu AC Mayanglambam Binod on Thursday flagged off a marathon race as part of Run for Unity from Kakching Keithel.

Sponsored by M Binod and organised by Dynamic Boy's, Kakching Khunou, the final destination of the marathon race was fixed at Kakching Khunou Goverment High School Campus.

In all, 24 people participated in the race.

M Milankumar bagged the first position, Kh Obin second and M Dingku third, while 7 others were presented with consolation prizes.

The prize distribution function was attended by M Binod, Dynamic Boy's president Dhanaraj Mayanglambam, International Martial Arts coach/referee/judge Khumukcham Sarju and BP Ed Ambrapati as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Binod noted that the trend of motivating youth to play sports so as to keep them away from abusing drugs is a sign that the young people of Kakching,Khunou would no longer be influenced by drugs and be more engrossed in extra-curricular activities.

He then urged for continuing the "No to Drug Yes to life" campaign to encourage good health among the youth, while assuring that he would take a huge responsibility in this regard.
