Alec Baldwin has been spotted laying low with his family in a quiet New England town — and even the cops investigating the actor’s deadly on-set shooting admit they’re “not exactly sure” where he is.
Photos posted by TMZ early Thursday seem to confirm the 63-year-old actor has left New Mexico, where he accidentally killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins last week with a prop gun while rehearsing a shooting scene for his movie “Rust.”
Baldwin was spotted on Sunday in an “off-the-beaten-path location” in an unidentified part of New England, the outlet reported.

Baldwin — dressed completely in black and dark grays — looked sullen and downcast in the photos as he walked with yoga-instructor wife Hilaria, 37, and their kids.
They had just picked up lunch from a pizza joint in the “small” town, which TMZ did not identify.

The Post had caught Baldwin’s kids and cat leaving their Manhattan home on Friday, a day after the shooting, as they appeared to have traveled to meet the troubled star.
The TMZ report emerged just hours after Santa Fe Sheriff Adan Mendoza told a press conference that he was “not exactly sure” of the actor’s “present whereabouts.”
He stressed that the star had been cooperating with the investigation and was not required to stay in New Mexico.

Officials refused to rule out charges against the actor over Thursday’s shooting, confirming that Baldwin is “an active part of this investigation.”
“He is obviously the person that fired the weapon,” he said.
Baldwin had also confirmed that he was “fully cooperating with the police investigation” in his message Friday in which he said his “heart is broken” for Hutchins’ husband and son.
“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours,” Baldwin said.
His wife also shared a message about her “shock and heartbreak.”
“My heart is with Halyna,” Hilaria wrote on Instagram. “Her husband. Her son. Their family and loved ones. And my Alec.
