A militant was on October 28 killed in a shoot-out in north Kashmir’s Baramulla.
A police spokesman said militants fired upon an area domination party of the Army and the police in Cherdari, Baramulla.
“Alert parties retaliated and a militant was killed. One pistol, a magazine and a Pakistan-made grenade were recovered from him,” the police said.
The slain militant has been identified as Javed Ahmed Wani from south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
“Wani had assisted a militant, Gulzar, who was killed on October 20, and killed two labourers from Bihar in Wanpoh. He was on a mission to target a shopkeeper in Baramulla,” the police added.
