“The lecture series is aimed at providing simplified medical education and creating awareness regarding health issues. In the current health scenario where hospitals are overburdened with health-conscious patients thronging health care centres, this lecture is an effort to fortify people of all levels to tackle medical emergencies at source, so that both the burden and time of transit to the nearest health centre are reduced to an extent. The enthusiastic interaction by the participants indicates that taking such issues to the general public will be very fruitful,” said Krishna Gohain, Vice Chancellor of the university.
In a bid to enhance superspecialty medical education in Assam, the University is introducing a Masterclass Series aimed at honing patient management skills for developing self-sufficiency in superspecialty service in Assam so that patients need not leave the state for treatment. The first lecture of the Series is slated to be delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Anup Kr.
