    Shriram Trans Fin shares drop 1.73% as Sensex falls

    Synopsis

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1587.85 and a 52-week low of Rs 669.85.

    India 10-year bond yield fell 0.34 per cent to 6.13 after trading in 6.13-6.16 range.
    Shares of Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd. traded 1.73 per cent lower in Thursday's session at 01:26PM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 1520.6 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1521.2 and Rs 1483.3, respectively, during the session so far.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1587.85 and a 52-week low of 669.85. About 28,412 shares changed hands on the counter so far.

    Benchmark Nifty50 was down 202.15 points at 18008.80, while the BSE Sensex traded 624.42 points lower at 60518.91 at the time of writing of this report.

    In the Nifty pack, 12 stocks traded the day in the green, while 38 were in the red.


    Key Financials
    For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4651.5 crore, up 3.42 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 4497.87 crore and up 12.23 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net profit of Rs 169.75 crore for the latest quarter.

    Promoter Holdings
    Promoters held 25.58 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Sep-2021, while FIIs held 53.67 per cent and MFs 6.28 per cent.

    Technicals
    On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 1364.75 on October 28, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 1355.85. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades well below 50-DMA and 200-DMA both, it is considered as bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.
