Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 11:01AM

Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 1.72%) were among the top gainers.

Coal India(down 3.02%), 20 Microns(down 2.33%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.08%), KIOCL(down 2.04%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.35%), Oriental Trimex(down 1.07%), MOIL(down 1.00%), Pokarna(down 0.81%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.80%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.61%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 183.45 points down at 18027.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 575.89 points at 60567.44 at around 11:01AM.

IndusInd Bank(up 6.18%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.38%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.85%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.67%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.52%), Shree Cement(up 0.49%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.33%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.25%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.15%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.04%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 7.29%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 3.74%), ITC(down 3.25%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.08%), Coal India(down 3.05%), ICICI Bank(down 2.54%), State Bank of India(down 2.18%), Titan Company Ltd(down 2.11%), Tata Steel(down 1.97%) and Tata Motors(down 1.91%) were trading in the red.
