WA to bowl against Redbacks at WACA

Western Australia have won the toss and elected to bowl in their rain-affected Sheffield Shield clash with South Australia at the WACA Ground.

Heavy rain washed out the opening session on Wednesday, with play now scheduled to get underway at 12.40pm WST.

The Redbacks have been boosted by the return of Jake Lehmann after he welcomed his first child with partner Dani last week, while WA have recalled paceman Cameron Gannon in place of Matt Kelly, who has been named 12th man.

Spinner Lloyd Pope will carry the drinks for the Redbacks.

WA are aiming to bounce back from their three-wicket Shield loss to Tasmania last week, while SA drew with Queensland in their most recent Shield appearance.

The Warriors beat SA by six wickets in Monday's one-day clash at the WACA Ground.

Star WA batsman Shaun Marsh scored an unbeaten 80 off 63 balls to guide his side to victory in that match.
