2 sharp shooters injured in exchange of fire with UP STF in Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 27 (UNI) Two dreaded sharp shooters were injured in an exchange of fire with the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh, here on Wednesday night.

The encounter took place in Madiyaon police station area around 2000 hrs.
Additional Superintendent of police (STF ) Vishal Vikram Singh, who led the operation, said two criminals were injured in the operation.
A man, member of professional sharp shooters gang, who had a reward of Rs one lakh on his head, identified as Ali Sher alias doctor and his accomplice Bannu alias Kaamran received injuries in the operation with the STF.

STF has recovered one carbine, 30 mm, 2 pistols, a country -made pistol, several round of cartridges and a motorcycle from the injured criminals.

Recently, Ali sher allegedly murdered district BJP ST Morcha president Jeet Ram Munda in Ranchi on September 22 last year.

Chandigarh, Oct 27 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday declared that his party “will move a resolution in Vidhan Sabha to ensure that the House directs the Punjab cabinet to use the state machinery, including the civil and police machinery, to physically block the implementation of the Centre’s Farm Laws on agriculture and stop the BSF from usurping the constitutional authority of the Punjab Police.”
"We want a directive from the House, not an ineffective resolution. We will seek a House directive also to categorically put the onus for implementation of its decision on Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi,” declared Mr Badal while addressing media persons during his mass contact programme at Rajpura where Charanjit Singh Brar is the party candidate.
