Kangpokpi, October 26 2021: Founding president of Sadar Hills Private Schools' Association, Paokhogin Kipgen (Pagin) passed away on Monday at his residence in Vengthah Ward No 3, Kangpokpi town.
He was survived by his wife Hechong Kipgen, a son and two daughters.
In 2007, under his initiative, Sadar Hills Private Schools' Association was established to streamline the functioning and administration of private schools in the district and also to tackle the various issues and problems faced by private schools in the district.
A down to earth and man of integrity, the late Pagin Kipgen passionately served as the Principal of Diamond English High School at Kangpokpi town.

Meanwhile, social media platforms have been flooded with condolence messages from various student bodies, prominent leaders of various communities particularly from the education sector, local bodies, near and dear ones from far and near.
The local MLA Nemcha Kipgen expressed shock and sadness over the untimely demise of Pagin Kipgen and wrapped a traditional shawl 'Saipikhup' over his mortal remain as tribute to the departed soul while former Minister and veteran Kuki politician, Thangminlen Kipgen also participated in the funeral ceremony held on Tuesday.
TSA Sadar Hills also expressed condolence over the demise of Late Paokhogin Kipgen and took part in the funeral ceremony along with Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization, and Kangpokpi Youth Union.
SHIPS leaders also paid the highest tribute to its founding president and wrapped a traditional shawl during his last rite while offering deepest condolence to the bereaved family.
Kangpokpi Independent Baptist Church Pastor performed the funeral service at KIBC cemetery at Kangpokpi town.
