GSTR3B ITC Claim for the F.Y. 2020-21

ITC for the F.Y. 2020-21 (March 2021) was not taken due to not filing of Returnby  the Supplier.  Now supplier has filed return on 20-10-2021 and ITC showing in GSTR2A but not showing in GSTR2B due to late filing after 13-10-2021.   As per rule September is last date to Claim ITC for the previous F.Y. 2020-21. I have to filed GSTR3B for the F.Y. 2021-22.

Please suggest how to take this ITC in GSRT-3B as in GSRT3B ITC automatically reflect as per GSTR2B.

You cannot claim this ITC. But several taxpayers and experts took to social media asking for an extension in the time limit to claim ITC for FY 2020-21 upto 31st December 2021. One should wait and watch for the government to take a suitable call for allowing any extension after October 2021 ends.

the provisional ITC was reduced to 10%, and recently the government restricted provisional ITC to the extent of 5% only. Hence, as per CGST rule 36(4), a taxpayer filing GSTR-3B can claim provisional ITC only to the extent of 5% of the eligible credit available in GSTR-2B (earlier, GSTR-2A was considered).
