Bengaluru, Oct 27 (UNI) Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said there are some influential Karnataka politicians involved in drugs and bitcoin scam and suspected that the investigating officers are trying to close the case.
"There is information about the involvement of influential politicians of Karnataka in the Drugs & Bitcoin scam. It is concerning that the investigating officers are trying to close the case to help those politicians," he tweeted.
The BJP government should not use their power to divert the investigation, but ensure the guilty are punished, Siddaramaiah added.
This tweet comes in the wake of Bengaluru police seizing Rs 9 crore worth of bitcoins from Shri Krishna, a hacker. He was arrested by the police last November. He has been accused of sourcing drugs through the darknet using bitcoins.
Krishna was also booked for stealing Rs 11 crore from the Karnataka government’s e-procurement portal in August 2019. His crime came to light on a lead elicited from an arrested international drug peddler M Sujay during an interrogation.
He has been accused of holding rave parties in various apartments, hotels and farmhouses across the city.
