Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan
The Bombay High Court on Tuesday adjourned till Wednesday the ongoing hearing in the bail application of Aryan Khan, who has been arrested in the cruise party case by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi is arguing the case of actor Shah Rukh Khan's son, who has been denied bail twice before.
Making a forceful plea for bail to Aryan Khan, his lawyer and former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi told the court that the star-son was a special invitee to the ship through event manager Prateek Gaba.
Meanwhile, the Court temporarily restrained Zee Entertainment Enterprises' top investor Invesco from calling a shareholder meeting, in a win for the TV network that sent its shares higher.
US investment firm Invesco, which owns nearly 18 per cent of Zee via two funds, wanted an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of shareholders in a bid to oust the network's CEO Punit Goenka and suggested that six new independent board members be appointed.
Amarinder Singh, who was forced out as Punjab’s chief minister, will on Wednesday hold a press conference in Chandigarh where he is likely to resign from the Congress party and launch his own political group.
