    Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

    The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 209.87 points at 61176.92

    NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:30AM

    Hind.Foods(up 5.00%), Euro India Fresh Foods(up 4.12%), ADF Foods(up 2.64%), Umang Dairies(up 2.53%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 2.27%), Future Consumer(up 2.14%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 1.95%), Parag Milk(up 1.90%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.55%) and DFM Foods(up 1.49%) were among the top gainers.

    Dodla Dairy(down 2.47%), Nakoda Group(down 1.52%), Dabur India(down 0.81%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.79%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.71%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.55%), Britannia Industries(down 0.39%), Dangee Dums(down 0.11%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.07%) and Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.05%) were among the top losers.

    The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 82.5 points up at 18207.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 209.87 points at 61176.92 at around 10:30AM.

    Tech Mahindra(up 5.9%), Tata Motors(up 4.31%), Tata Steel(up 2.52%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.48%), UPL Ltd(up 2.34%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.09%), Grasim Industries(up 1.73%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.68%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.64%) and State Bank of India(up 1.47%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, ICICI Bank(down 1.44%), Axis Bank(down 1.02%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.91%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.86%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.84%), Britannia Industries(down 0.38%), Coal India(down 0.23%), Infosys(down 0.09%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.01%) were trading in the red.
