District attorney: Body found in park on Mount Penn is homicide victim
Oct. 26—A body was found in a park on Mount Penn Monday afternoon, and Berks County District Attorney John Adams says the person is the victim of a homicide.
Police were called to Rotary Park in Lower Alsace Township about 2:40 p.m. after someone passing by on List Road spotted the body. Adams said it was on a paved area about 20 feet off the side of the road.
Adams said no information is being released about the victim at this time but said it's clear the person was the victim of a homicide.
The incident is being investigated by detectives from the district attorney's office and the Central Berks Regional Police Department. Adams said his office's forensics unit is on scene assisting with the investigation.
Adams asked anyone with information that may be relevant to the investigation to contact the district attorney's office at 610-478-6000 or Central Berks police at 610-779-1100.
