Suspicious death in Hartford’s Asylum Hill now investigated as a homicide
A suspicious death in Hartford’s Asylum Hill Monday is now being investigated as a homicide, police said.
Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert said police and EMS responders were called to an apartment at 93 Spring St. around 1:30 p.m. on a report that a woman may have overdosed or suffered another medical problem.
The woman, in her 50s, was found dead inside with trauma on her body, Boisvert said. There also was evidence of gunfire in the apartment. The woman’s identity has not be released.
A search warrant for the apartment was obtained and is expected to be executed Monday night, Boisvert said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Hartford police.
