IMPS service which is handled by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is a payment system that allows for instant domestic funds transfers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, using a variety of methods including internet banking, mobile banking applications, bank offices, ATMs, SMS, and IVRS which implies that customers can transfer funds instantly throughout India using banks and RBI-approved Prepaid Payment Instrument Issuers (PPIs). When conducting an IMPS fund transfer, keep in mind that a Mobile Money Identification Number (MMID) is a seven-digit number, from which the first 4-digits are the unique identification number of a bank allowing IMPS.
