Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: IRCTC(Rs. 3478.06 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 2904.46 crore), Tech Mahindra(Rs. 2700.73 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 2550.33 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 2345.13 crore), Bank of Baroda(Rs. 1494.12 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1405.07 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1404.01 crore), TCS(Rs. 1355.51 crore) and Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1293.83 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 143.0 points up at 18268.4, while BSE Sensex rose 383.21 points to 61350.26.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 5.99 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.89 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 3.75 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 3.18 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
