    Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

    Synopsis

    In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks were trading in the green, while 7 stocks were trading in the red.

    NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 262.85 points up at 61229.90 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    On the BSE, Sudal Inds(down 10.33 per cent), Narayani Steels(down 9.85 per cent), Morgan Ventures(down 9.83 per cent), Haryana Capfin(down 8.30 per cent) and Sayaji Industries(down 7.71 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

    In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks traded in the green, while 7 stocks traded in the red.

    The Nifty index was trading 95.55 points up at 18220.95.

    On the BSE, SBL Infratech Ltd., ThirdwaveFinIntrm, Sparkling(India), Sharanam Infra and SREI Infra Fin hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Bharat Agri Fert, Arihant Found, Eldeco Housing, Panasonic Energy and Home First Finance Company India Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
