Why Pakistan seeks revenge? Just few weeks back, New Zealand team pulled out from the Pakistan tour on the eve of the 1st game citing security concerns. So upset were fans, team and above all Pakistan Cricket Board – that PCB chairman announced that they will seek revenge against New Zealand. 

“Our team need to win the World Championship to show what stuff we are made of. We need to show teams like New Zealand & England who pulled out of the tours. We need to beat them & show where Pakistan cricket stands. That will be our real revenge”, declared PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja. 

PAK vs NZ LIVE Score: Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar, angered by the pullout also accused New Zealand of killing Pakistan cricket. Just before the game against India, Akhtar declared that though India game will be very important – our real anger is against New Zealand as we seek revenge. 

“Our real anger is with New Zealand. We will take it out on them, we have no issues with you,” Akhtar said.

Sharjah is one of the high scoring grounds in the UAE and the game against Bangladesh and Sri  Lanka was a closely contested affair. Bangladesh scored 171 in the first innings which was chased down in the final over by the Lankans.
