GAIL shares rise 2.56% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 152.0 on BSE at 10:41AM (IST) on Tuesday, up 2.56 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 82.0 and a high of Rs 171.35.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

A total of 112,606 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 10:41AM (IST).

The stock of GAIL (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 67582.66 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 8.87, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 1.13. Return on equity (ROE) was at 11.53 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 402 stocks traded in the green, while 98 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 51.85 per cent in the GAIL (India) Ltd. as of 30-Sep-2021 while foreign and domestic institutional investors owned 18.36 per cent and 17.72 per cent, respectively.
