Pakistan vs New Zealand HIGHLIGHTS, T20 World Cup 2021, Today’s Match at Sharjah: All-round PAK Outplay NZ

Pakistan needed some power-hitting to come back into the match and they got that. Three back-to-back big overs take Pakistan in the driver’s seat. Mitchell Santner bowled his final over of the match here and conceded 15 runs!

A brilliant over for Pakistan as Asif Ali hits two massive sixes after Shoaib Malik gave him the strike on the first ball.  Tim Southee who gave away just 12 runs in his first three overs, conceded 13 in his last.

Another good over for Pakistan there three runs cazme in singles and Shoaib Malik hit one over the bowlers head for a boundary. Kane Williamson has a spot of bother there.

A mixed-bag kind of an over to be honest, Trent Boult got his first wicket of the match here but leaked 9 runs. Pakistan need to score 9 runs per over now to win and they have the batters to do that as well. Asif Ali has joined Shoaib Malik in the middle as Pakistan need 44 runs from 30 balls.

Imad Wasim tried to connect a switch hit there but it really didn’t come off for him as Trent Boult’s ball hits his knee.

Ish Sodhi bowled his third over there and this was’t a wicket over. A cdecent over where he gave away 7 runs including a wide ball. Pakistan need 53 runs from 36 balls

Kane Williamson continued with James Neesham and the all-rounder bowled a decent third over there giving away just 5 runs. New Zealand need more such overs but most importantly wickets if they have to win this match, Pakistan has a big batting line-up, full of big hitters.

Well, is this the gateway for New Zealand to make a comeback in this match? Pakistan are suddenly 4 wickets down chasing 135. Ish Sodhi bowled his second over there and gave away 7 runs but most importantly removed Mohammad Rizwan

Some catch that from Devon Conway! After making a considerable amount of ground he lept into the air and caught a blinder near the long-off boundary. It was decent over bowled by Santner there, conceding just 5 runs but the catch made it very very special.

James Neesham bowled his second over of the night and he turned out to be expensive. He beat Rizwan with his pace on the first delivery but was smoeked by Hafeez on the third delivery for a 6. Two singles were scored in the next two deliveries then a couple off th last ball.  11 runs, the biggest over of Pakistan’s innings.

Ish Sodhi bowled a quicker there and as usual there’s no spin. The ball hit Fakhar’s pad but the umpire gave it a not out. Kane Williamson reviewed and it showed All Red, meaning Fakhar has to leave. Have to say that it was a good first over for Ish Sodhi there as he picked up Fakhar Zaman’s wicket, who hit him for a sweet maximum on the third delivery of the over. Two more runs were scored from the over.

James Neesham, who starred for Mumbai Indians on his comeback failed to strike right away here in Sharjah but he did bowl a tight over, giving away just three runs. A single to start with, then a leg-bye. Three dot balls and a single off the last ball.

Mitchell Santner was brought back into the attack and the slow left-arm bowler gave away six runs from his second over. He was swept fine for a boundary by Rizwan and the two other runs came in singles, one from the third ball and the other from the last. New Zealand need wickets to stay in the match!

A good over that for New Zealand! Time Southee removed Babar Azam on the very first delivery of the over then went onto to bowl tight 5 balls. Two singles were taken right after BAbar’s wicket then Southee finished off the over with three dot balls.

Tim Southee reaches a personal milestone of 100 T20 wickets by picking the dangerous one of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam with a slower one.

Trent Boult bowling his second over was hit for boundary by Rizwan then the experienced bowler makes a good comeback, bowling three dot balls in the the next four delveries. Babar Azam took a single on the last ball to keep the strike.
