Veteran singer Anuradha Paudwal will turn 69 on October 26. Her soulful singing has served her with several prestigious accolades including the Padma Shri, the National Film Award, and four Filmfare Awards.
Anuradha started her career in the 70s and she gave her voice to several Indian languages including Odia, Tamil, Nepali, and Kannada. As per media reports, she made her debut with a Sanskrit verse in the Hindi film Abhiman. She also received Odisha State Film Award for Best Singer twice, once in 1987 for Tundra Baida and in 1997 for Khandaei Akhi Re Luha.
Her career took a major turn after she lent her voice to the Marathi film, Yashoda. Since then, there was no turning back for her and ruled the Indian music industry for more than four decades.
Apart from film songs, she is also popular for her devotional songs. Her collaboration with T-series’ Gulshan Grover received immense love from the audience.
Talking about her personal life, the singer got married to music composer Arun Paudwal. The couple had a son Aditya and a singer daughter Kavita.
