    Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.87% in a weak market

    Synopsis

    The Nifty Realty index was trading 2.87 per cent down at 495.95.

    Mazhar Mohammad of Chartviewindia.in said technical indicators are turning mixed as the weekly MACD chart has generated a 'buy' signal, giving an edge to the bulls.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:40AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

    Brigade Enterprises(up 1.0 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    Oberoi Realty(down 6.17 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 4.51 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 3.9 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 3.36 per cent) and DLF(down 2.53 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Realty index was down 2.87 per cent at 495.95 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 36.6 points at 18078.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 27.59 points at 60794.03.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 9 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

    Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, ICICI Bank, Tata Power and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of ICICI Bank, Arihant Found, KEC Int., Subros and Gokul Agro Resources hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Airo Lam, Huhtamaki PPL, Intnl Conveyors, SREI Infra Fin and Jiya Eco Products Lt hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
