Brendan Fraser Has Joined 'Batgirl' In a Vengeful Villain Role!

Brendan Fraser has joined Warner Bros.’ Batgirl movie!

The 52-year-old actor will star opposite Leslie Grace in the upcoming movie.

Deadline reports that Brendan will be playing supervillain, Firefly, in the pic.

As many comic fans know, Firefly aka Garfield Lynns was a key adversary and went up against Batgirl as a protege of Killer Moth.

However, his origin story was altered a bit when he was adapted for The CW’s Arrow, and is now portrayed as a firefighter who was abandoned by his crewmates while fighting a terrible fire.

He survived with several burns and after the incident, Garfield became vengeful and went on a murderous rampage as Firefly to get revenge from his colleagues who had left him out to die.

Most plot details are under wraps on the Batgirl movie, but it is known that it will center on Leslie‘s Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon.
