Rain disrupts WA v SA one-day WACA clash
The one-day clash between Western Australia and South Australia at the WACA Ground has been reduced to 38 overs a side after a long rain delay.
The Redbacks were struggling at 3-58 after 11.3 overs of Monday's match before a heavy downpour forced players off the field.
Jake Weatherald (19no) and Harry Nielsen (4no) were at the crease when play was halted for the second time in the match.
South Australia slipped to 3-48 following the early departures of Alex Carey (five), Nathan McSweeney (0), and Travis Head (28).
Warriors paceman Lance Morris snared the key wicket of Head, finding the outside edge to end the skipper's knock.
WA beat South Australia by 78 runs when the teams met in the season opener on September 22, but the Redbacks rebounded by posting a 67-run win over Queensland earlier this month.
Both WA and SA entered Monday's match with a 1-1 record.
