Regarding "Apple plans to use iPhone to control autos' A/C, seats and radio, report says," autonews.com, Oct. 7: I think the auto manufacturers and NHTSA should give these developments very close scrutiny. Drivers are distracted enough by taking and placing voice calls, but to add more and more vehicle controls that require taking eyes and attention off the road is asking for serious safety trouble.
