Aryan Khan case: Witness brings shocking pay-off allegations against NCB

A shocking pay-off allegation has come up in the Cordelia Cruises drug bust case, which saw the arrest of Aryan Khan, Sunday. An independent witness of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in this case claimed that NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and others had demanded money in crores from Shah Rukh Khan for the release of his son Aryan. Wankhede has denied the allegations.

Wankhede apparently supposed to get Rs. 8cr out of deal

The claim came from Prabhakar Sail, the bodyguard of KP Gosavi (the private detective and NCB witness who went viral for his selfie with Aryan Khan). Sail alleged in an affidavit that he overheard a conversation between Gosavi and one Sam D'Souza about an Rs. 18cr deal. Of this, Gosavi had said they will be giving Rs. 8cr to Wankhede.

Gosavi even met with SRK's manager on October 3

After that meeting on October 3, Sail added, Gosavi and D'Souza had a 15-minute meeting with Pooja Dadlani, SRK's manager, in a car. Thereafter, the bodyguard was asked to hand two bags of cash to D'Souza, allegedly containing Rs. 38L. His allegations did not cease here as he claimed the central agency made him sign some blank papers after the raid earlier this month.

Sanjay Raut posted clip of Aryan-Gosavi, demanding action from police

As the allegations surfaced, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut shared them alongside posting a new video online. In the clip, supposedly from inside the NCB office, Aryan can be seen speaking into a phone held by Gosavi. Wankhede then penned a letter to Mumbai Police Commissioner requesting him to "ensure that no precipitate legal action is carried out to frame me with ulterior motives."

Meanwhile, Bombay HC will hear Aryan's bail plea tomorrow

Later, NCB released a statement denying Sail's allegations too. They maintained if the witness had something to say, he should have done so in court and not via social media as the matter is sub-judice. To recall, Pune Police issued a lookout circular for Gosavi for the pending cases against him. Separately, the Bombay High Court is scheduled to hear Aryan's bail plea tomorrow.
