The Bottomless Pit talks about Saddle Ridge and the sinister in it. For more than a century, the eerie place has had an ominous mystery. It serves as the headquarters of a mysterious sect known as the Order of Souls. For seventy years, their actions are secret that there is no disclosure of the identities of their members. Abby, a timid, ignored young lady, posed a threat to their very existence and public exposure. She happened to witness the ancient tradition of infant offering on a gory altar, which led to the death of the child. Her punishment: a life sentence in the Bottomless Pit.

Dani is riding her favorite horse when she got in a tragic accident thirty years later. A weird connection exists between her and Abby as a result of her deadly accident. What sinister mystery transports her across the gulf that separates life and death? What is it that she and Abby have in common that has kept their souls connected over three decades of time and space? Dani discovers the truth about Abby amid these windswept peaks that overlook carpeted, tumbling valleys…and much more.

Dani, ridiculed and mocked by the youngsters of Saddle Ridge, embraces this bizarre relationship, completely realizing that Abby is the one who brought about the havoc with the Order of Souls. Dani is also completely ignorant that she is Abby’s conduit for the vengeance that Abby has pledged to deliver. Those youngsters from thirty years ago are now adults in their own right. Trying to kill them would not provide her with the same joy that killing them gave them when she died.

Despite this, Abby retains an element of humanity in her, and she decides to save them if they do one thing: disclose their heinous secret that has been a source of contention in town for a century. The tragedy comes when they refuse to comply. Who will be the next person to die in this terrible town? How many more people will have to pay the cost for the sins of a deadly cult? Dani and Abby band together to battle the evil that has engulfed Saddle Ridge in a terrifying state of fear. Dani’s family, her colleagues, and the entire community are on the edge of their seats as she comes face to face with the most heinous of evils.
