An old video of Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Saif Ali Khan gathering outside the Thane jail in favour of Sanjay Dutt has surfaced online. The video was taken in July 1994, when he was arrested and charged with terrorist and disruptive activities (prevention) under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act.

“It feels awfully sad. I just pray that he... He is a very nice guy,” Shah Rukh said in the video.

Aditya Pancholi said, “Usne bhale hi bandookein aur baaki ki cheezein li hongi magar ek aisa sangeen jurm woh kar nahi sakta (He may have possessed a rifle and other things but he cannot commit such a grave crime).”

For the unaware, Sanjay Dutt was cleared in 2007 of terror charges stemming from the 1993 Mumbai bombings. His conviction for illegally holding arms under the Arms Act, however, was upheld. After serving his term, he was freed from the Yerwada Central Jail in 2016.

Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, is now detained at the Arthur Road jail. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained the 23-year-old on October 3 following a raid on an alleged rave party.

On Wednesday he moved the Bombay High Court after a special NDPS court turned down his bail application. Now, the Bombay High Court will hear the star kid's bail plea on October 26.

As per media reports, in his appeal in the High Court, Aryan Khan said the Narcotics Control Bureau's "interpretation and misinterpretation" of the WhatsApp chats collected from his mobile phone was "wrong and unjustified". In his plea, Aryan has also claimed that no contraband was recovered from him after the NCB raids on a cruise ship on October 2 and that he has no connection with any of the other accused in the case except Arbaaz Merchant and Aachit Kumar.
