Salah netted a brace to see the Reds over the line against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night in a thrilling Champions League clash.
Then on Sunday, the rivalry between Man United and Liverpool came to ahead where the Egyptian scored a hattrick and bagged an assist in a thrilling 5-0 win at Old Trafford.
Those goals have seen him tip the scales in the betting to see him favourite to land the PFA 2021/22 award, at 7/4.
The favouritism comes from his best start to a season yet and shows no signs of stopping.
He’s now the top scorer of the league by three ahead of Jamie Vardy and with his five assists he is the runaway leader.
Salah is continually breaking records at Liverpool, but with that, questions are being asked about his contract.
The Liverpool star has just overtaken Steven Gerrard to a new Champions League record to become the club’s leading goalscorer in the European competition.
Salah scored in ten consecutive games in the process which has blitzed the Liverpool record and he shows no signs of stopping.
A new contract still needs to be signed to keep him at Anfield and many have urged the club to offer as much as £500,000-a-week in order to hold onto the star.
While the man himself reportedly wants £400k-a-week to continue playing in front of the Kop.
Without committing to Liverpool further, huge clubs are now being linked with the ‘Egyptian King’.
Mo Salah odds
PFA Player of the Year Award – 7/4
Ballon D’Or Winner – 10/1
Premier League top scorer – 10/11
Next Club:
PSG – 4/1
Real Madrid – 5/1
Barcelona – 6/1
Bayern Munich – 8/1
Juventus – 10/1
Newcastle – 16/1
PSG are the current front runners to secure the Premier League star with Real Madrid and Barcelona not far behind.
Any switch of that nature will have to come at a price as Salah has proved his worth time and time again for Liverpool.
PSG signed Lionel Messi in what capped off an incredible summer in the transfer window, with Cristiano Ronaldo returning to England for Manchester United.
These players are also among the competition for the Ballon D’Or which Salah has been hammered from 25/1 into 10/1 to win the award.
Messi might be odds-on favourite but Salah’s chances are well-founded with his continual goal scoring and assists, meanwhile Jorginho is 15/2 with Coral after his successful year.
