A Blue Ash man is accused of shooting his adult son after he wouldn't stop playing the guitar, police reported.

Fred Hensley Sr., 79, is charged with felonious assault and domestic violence following the confrontation Sunday.

Blue Ash Police reported that Hensley Sr. shot his son, Fred Hensley Jr., 50, with a .380 pistol. Police said the father intended to just strike the guitar but the bullet also hit Hensley Jr. in the stomach.

"Hensley Jr. then assaulted his father while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive," police said in an affidavit.

Hensley Sr. will appear in court Monday for a hearing on the charges.

As of Monday morning, Hensley Jr. is not facing any charges related to the confrontation with his father on Sunday.
