Hyderabad, Oct 25 (UNI) Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Supremo K,Chandrashekar Rao said on Monday that thousands of requests from the people of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh have come to establish TRS in that state after the Dalit Bandhu empowerment scheme was announced for SCs in the state.
Addressing the delegates at TRS plenary at Hitex convention centre here soon after his unanimous election as TRS President, Mr.Rao said that the people of AP were demanding that welfare schemes being implemented in the state should be started in AP.
In the past, people from Polavaram village in AP used to go to Mumbai for work but now thousands of people from Northern states were coming to Telangana for work, the Chief Minister added.
The TRS Chief said there were also demands to merge Nanded district (Maharashtra) and Raichur (Karnataka) with Telangana.
