Covid-19: Telangana logs 135 new cases, one death

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 135 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Sunday.
The number of active cases in the state stands at 3,950. The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year is at 6,70,274 and the death toll is at 3,947.
A total of 168 patients recovered on Sunday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,62,377. The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate is at 98.81 per cent now. So far, 79.82 per cent of overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.1 per cent have been symptomatic.
On Sunday, 26,842 samples were tested for coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing 2.73 crore samples and has reached 7.33 lakh sample testing per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 64 cases on Sunday, while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 4 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 11 and Sanga Reddy recorded 4 cases. Outside of Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar with 9 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
