BJP to expose wrongdoings of Nawab Malik: Somaiya

Palghar, Oct 23 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya on Saturday hit out at NCP spokesperson and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik for his recent comments on NCB official Sameer Wankhede, saying that henceforth BJP would expose all alleged wrongdoings of Malik.
Talking to newsmen in Vasai town of the district during his visit, he said that Wankhede who belongs to the backward (economically and social backward) community, was an upright official and recipient of the national award for his performance in 2021.
The NCB official's efforts to control the drug menace has adversely affected the business of the drug mafia and in turn, the collection of the Pawar-Thackeray government has dropped drastically and hence since last 10 days, through Malik, they were making all kinds of allegations against him.
He requested the Pawars and Thackeray to desist from defaming the upright officer.
"If any officer is doing anything wrong there is a procedure and the Chief Minister and the chief secretary should bring it to the notice of higher-ups, and this is not the way to chase a loyal officer who wants to eradicate the drug menace," he said.
With regards to Malik's comment that they would put Wankhede in jail for a month, Somaiya threatened that he would expose the misdeeds of Malik in coming days.
With regards to the comment by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India crossing 100 crore Covid vaccinations, the BJP leader said that Raut was not competent to speak about Modi.
As regards the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, he said that the civic body had announced that it will float a global tender for one crore vaccines and claimed that everything was an empty announcement.
All the 11 tenders were bogus and they wanted to favour their own people, he claimed.
He also reiterated his allegations against Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and the Jarandeshwar sugar factory and demanded an answer to his query from him.
Somaiya also threatened to soon expose the alleged corrupt practices and misdeeds of the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation and the civic commissioner that were committed in the name of Covid control measures.
