Arsenal 3-1 Aston Villa - MATCH REPORT

Thomas Partey scored his first goal for Arsenal as the Gunners beat Aston Villa 3-1 to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six matches on Friday.

Partey's first half header broke the Ghana midfielder's goal drought in his 40th appearance in all competitions since his move from Atletico Madrid 12 months ago.

After losing their first three league games, Arsenal have gradually recovered their equilibrium.

SATURDAY, 23 OCTOBER 

Chelsea 7-0 Norwich - MATCH REPORT

Chelsea proved they can cope without their injured strikers as Mason Mount's hat-trick powered the Premier League leaders in their demolition of Norwich.

Chelsea, playing without the injured Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, tore apart bottom of the table Norwich at Stamford Bridge to move four points clear at the top.

Mount started the rout with his first goal since May, ending a run of 15 scoreless club appearances for the 22-year-old.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle

Everton 2-5 Watford

Leeds 1-1 Wolves

Southampton 2-2 Burnley

Brighton 1-4 Manchester City - MATCH REPORT

Phil Foden scored twice as Manchester City stormed into second place in the Premier League with a 4-1 dismantling of Brighton at the Amex on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's men had the points sealed by half-time as Ilkay Gundogan tapped into an empty net on 13 minutes before Foden finished off two fine team moves.

Alexis Mac Allister's penalty pulled a goal back for Brighton, before Riyad Mahrez put the seal on a slick City display.

SUNDAY, 24 OCTOBER

Brentford 1-2 Leicester  

Youri Tielemans showed why Leicester are desperate to tie him to a new contract as he scored his first goal of the season as the Foxes sank Brentford 2-1.

Belgium international Tielemans hit a stunning long-range strike to open the scoring for Brendan Rodgers' side.

Mathias Jorgensen hauled Brentford level but Tielemans then helped tee up Maddison's first goal since February to secure three points for the visitors.

West Ham 1-0 Tottenham - MATCH REPORT

West Ham moved into fourth place in the Premier League with a 1-0 win in the London derby against Tottenham, 

A second half strike from Michail Antonio gave the Hammers their second successive league win and condemned Tottenham to a second consecutive loss this week.
