Hardik Pandya expects to bowl closer to knockouts

Hardik Pandya expects to bowl closer to knockouts

Dubai, Oct 24 (UNI) Hardik Pandya on Sunday said he won't be bowling for now, but desires to bowl eventually, closer to the knockouts.

"It was jittery. Now, the back is fine. I won't be bowling for now. I want to be able to bowl eventually, closer to the knockouts. The professionals and I both have to take the call about when I can have a bowl," he told Star Sports at the start of India-Pakistan clash here.

The comments in the wake of Pandya's inability to bowl had raised many questions about his place in the playing XI. he had not bowled a single over for Mumbai Indians in the UAE leg of the IPL, as he was recovering on the fitness front.

Pandya further said he does not like to get too hyped by the situation, and his family makes it perfectly sure that it does not get to him as well. The best way to keep away from social media is to leave emotions out of the way, and keep things professional, he added.

"I stay away from social media because you do get excited and that gets into you. It is simple to tackle this.

We leave emotions out of the way and keep things professional. We make sure we tick the right boxes and do the processes right," he said.
