Congress MLA Sachin Birla joins BJP in Madhya Pradesh
In another setback to the Congress ahead of the bypolls in Madhya Pradesh, its legislator Sachin Birla on Sunday switched over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Birla joined the BJP at an event in Madhya Pradesh's Bediya, in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Sachin Birla is an MLA from Barwaha in the Khandwa Lok Sabha constituency, where bypolls are scheduled to be held on October 30.
Earlier this month, former Congress MLA from poll-bound Jobat, Sulochana Rawat, joined the BJP along with her son Vishal Rawat.
