Covid-19: 8 new cases detected in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Oct 23 (UNI) Eight fresh Covid-19 patients were detected today, taking the district's tally of such cases to 2,06,533.

However, with no single casualty being reported during the day across the district, the toll remained steady at 5,790.

On the other hand, 12 patients were discharged during the day across the district, taking overall count of recoveries to 2,00,637.

There are now 109 active cases in the district, an official report said.

Covid-19: M'rashtra reports 1,701 new cases, 33 deaths

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) Maharashtra on Saturday reported 1,701 fresh Covid-19 patients and 33 fatalities in a single day, taking the state's cumulative case tally to 66,01,551 and the toll to 1,39,998, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.

Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) After being tested positive for Covid-19, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray and his sister visited Leelavati Hospital here on Saturday for further examination as a precautionary measure.
Leelavati Hospital spokesperson Dr Jalil Parkar told mediapersons that Raj Thackeray and his sister had come to hospital after being tested corona positive.
