NYC man who killed Grubhub driver resting on park bench arrested

A Queens man has been arrested and charged with murder for the senseless slaying of an innocent Grubhub deliveryman in Manhattan last week, police said.

Joseph Sandoval, 23, was arrested on Friday for the brutal killing of 51-year old Sala Miah, a Bangladeshi immigrant whom he fatally slashed in the face and abdomen just after 1 a.m. on Oct. 16.

Miah had hopped off his eclectic bicycle to rest on a bench in the Lower East Side after a long night of work, before Sandoval sat down next to him, video released by NYPD shows.

Sandoval then attacked Miah, leaving him helpless and bleeding on the street before taking off on Miah’s bike.

The father of two was rushed to Bellevue Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, cops said.

Surveillance footage shows the moment Sandoval sat beside Miah ahead of the brutal attack. Sandoval later stole Miha’s e-bike.

Miah’s brother-in-law Muhammad Ahsan, 44, told The Post after the incident that Miah was a hard worker who sent money back to his 19-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son who remain in Bangladesh.

She said he left the Asian nation fearing for his life over his dissenting political views.

“Now he lost his life here,” said Ahsan, who had to break the horrible news to Miah’s family.
