Imphal, October 22 2021: Election campaign of Nangbam Roberth, who is preparing to contest the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from Singjamei assembly constituency, was launched on Friday with a ceremony held at his residence at Singjamei Chingamathak.

Large number of people coming from different polling stations of Singjamei AC attended the launch ceremony.

Addressing gathering at the event, Nangbam Roberth said that he decided to contest election with the main objective of uplifting poor sections of the society living in Singjamei assembly constituency.

Singjamei AC is being considered as one of the most developed ACs of the state but there are many poor families living in the constituency and plans are afoot to procure development projects for poor people from the Centre, he said and appealed to people of the constituency to make the 2022 election a free and fair one.

With the launch of election campaign, Roberth also started presenting Ningol Chakkouba gifts to women of Singjamei AC from Friday and promised to present the gifts to women of the constituency at their door steps.
