Malaika Arora who has won millions of hearts with her item songs like Munni Badnaam Hui, Chal Chaiyya Chaiyya, and many more said she is a self-made star and Salman Khan did not make her in the film industry.
In an interview in 2008, Arora reacted to one of the comments which were made by Rakhi Sawant in which she said Malaika had never been called an item girl because of her connection with Bollywood actor Salman Khan and she was the wife of Arbaz Khan as well. On that Arora replied and said, Malaika is not called an ‘item girl because of her connection to Salman. Few believed that being a member of the Khan family and sister-in-law to the Salman Khan, they gave her the opportunity to set feet in Bollywood.
The Chal Chaiyya Chaiyya fame beauty said that she was upset with the Khan family for not supporting Arbaaz’s career. She said his family did what for him? Get him a good role, launch a good movie for him, or spoon-feed him. The brothers share a very close bond but they can’t take the career decisions on his behalf, Malaika said.
Meanwhile, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan tied the knot in 1998. After 19 years of their marriage, they got separated. They both have a son named Arhaan Khan. Currently, Malaika Arora is dating actor Arjun Kapoor and there are specializations that both will get married soon. On the other side, Arbaaz Khan also dated model Giorgia Andriani and often they were seen hanging together.
Malaika is currently judging a dance reality show named India’s Best Dancer with Choreographer Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. She has been part of popular films such as Housefull, Kaante Dabangg and many more.
